Embedded Plants is an interactive “Chia” pet made of wheat grass that is embedded with photocell sensors. It acknowledge your presence when you pet it by purring and lighting up a series of LEDs. It is a plant for people who are allergic to dogs and cats.
Here are some sketches of the design. I always start an idea by sketching and thinking about the experience of the interaction or the space.
