Plastic of the Feuture is a collaboration between Marcela Godoy, Sukmo Mong Koo, William Jennings and I. We were asked by The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to research, prototype and re think of a means to create sustainable models in Northern Uganda. As a group we were interested in re-using, re-purposing, and re-imagining the collection and use of trash. We started by re envisioning the uses of a plastic bag which seemed plentiful in the area. Our goal was to covert bags into a resource that with local materials and local knowledge could turn into a self sustaining business model. Our research and prototyping is still on the table.
